Monterey Wine Auction & Gala

The annual Monterey Wine Auction & Gala will feature a ‘70s “Flashback and Unwind” theme this year! The event will kick off with a reception and silent auction followed by a gourmet dinner (with J. Lohr proudly hosting two tables) and a live auction. Auction proceeds benefit the MCVGF Scholarship Foundation for children in the Monterey community, and agricultural research. 1970s attire is encouraged, but optional! Click here for reservation information

J. Lohr Paso Robles Wine Center Special Tasting (part of the Paso Robles Wine Festival Weekend)

In celebration of Wine Festival Weekend, we will be tasting not only our regular J. Lohr selections but also two first ever produced wines here at J. Lohr - our J. Lohr Gesture Viognier and J. Lohr Gesture Grenache Rosé.  These wines will not be distributed, so you’ll need to stop by the wine center for a taste. 

Those of you who love our Bordeaux blends will be delighted to hear that we’ll be featuring our J. Lohr Cuvée PAU all weekend.  We’ll be digging through our library to find some older vintages you’ve not seen in  awhile.

Cheese expert Chef Jaimie Casey of JC Culinary has specially paired world class J. Lohr wines with a wonderful selection of California Cheeses.

This educational seminar includes

  • a guided sensory evaluation and tasting of six wines and six cheeses
  • a detailed description of each cheese and the cheese making process
  • a demonstration of a recipe using one of the cheeses
  • a copy of the demonstrated recipe for each participant to take home
