One of J. Lohr’s best kept secrets is our Gesture tier of wines – you won’t find these Rhône-style limited releases in stores or restaurants. While our focus in Paso Robles has always been on Cabernet Sauvignon and other Bordeaux varieties, the region has also proved an ideal place to grow top-flight expressions of grapes originally from France’s Rhône Valley.

The J. Lohr Gesture Viognier beautifully captures the floral and spice components that are hallmarks of this northern Rhône cultivar. The J. Lohr Gesture Syrah recalls the structured berry and spice aromas and flavors of Hermitage. The J. Lohr Gesture Mourvèdre’s deep color and savory character are pure sunny, southern Rhone in style, as is the J. Lohr Gesture GSM – a classically styled blend of Grenache Noir, Syrah, and Mourvèdre.
